Job Title: Consultant Ophthalmology Paediatrics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Ophthalmology Paediatrics Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist Consultant leadership, expertise and support to the paediatric ophthalmology services provided at King's College Hospital.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with paediatric ophthalmology needs.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the paediatric ophthalmology service across all King's sites.
  • Provide clinical supervision of junior medical/dental practitioners.
  • Responsible for outpatient clinic commitments in peripheral hospitals.
  • Take an active role in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Care Group's Business Plan.
Requirements:
  • Full Registration with GMC.
  • Name on GMC Ophthalmology Specialist Register on date of taking up appointment.
  • Wide experience in all aspects of Ophthalmology, culminating in award of Certificate of Completion of Training by GMC.
  • Advanced subspecialty training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
