Claims Specialist with Liability Expertise

We are seeking a skilled Claims Specialist to join our team at Hastings Direct. In this role, you will play a crucial part in investigating and resolving third-party property damage claims.
Key Responsibilities- Claim Investigation: You will investigate and assess third-party property damage claims, gathering relevant information and evidence.
- Liaison and Negotiation: Liaise with external parties, such as claimants, solicitors, and other insurance companies, to negotiate and settle claims.
- Policy Analysis: Analyse policy documentation to determine coverage and applicability.
- Liability and Quantum Assessment: Evaluate liability and quantum to determine accurate settlement amounts.
- Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of claims while ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities using the company's systems.
- Prior Experience: Prior experience in liability investigations and negotiations, ideally within an insurance or legal context.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess claims and determine liability and settlement amounts.
- Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capability to engage with external stakeholders professionally and empathetically.
- Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proactivity and Adaptability: A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and relevant software applications.
- Customer Focus: A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and representing our values.
- Salary: £26,500 - £28,675 per annum, depending on experience.
