Our Service in Kings Lynn is looking for a committed and empathetic Care Support Worker to care for 8 residents with complex learning disability needs. Our service encourages activities in and around the community, including farm visits, swimming, shopping, and participating in day centers.

The Role of Our Care Support Worker:

  • Providing Social and Emotional Support: Offer support to residents in their daily lives, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist residents with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Support with Daily Tasks: Help residents with household tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Community Involvement: Accompany residents on outings, such as walks, meals, and other activities they may want to experience.

Skills and Attributes of Our Care Support Worker:

  • Empathy and Caring: Demonstrate a calm, caring, and positive attitude towards residents.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Computer Literacy: Be proficient in using computers and other technology to support daily tasks.
  • Transportation: Possess a valid driver's license, although this is not essential.
