Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, the Supportive Care Provider will ensure that residents receive personalized care tailored to their unique needs. You will engage in meaningful activities and contribute to the development of care plans that reflect each resident's preferences and requirements.
At Athena Care Homes, we value the individuality of each resident and are committed to fostering professional growth through comprehensive Learning and Development programs. Opportunities for advancement into CHAPS or nursing roles are available, along with fully funded apprenticeships to support your pursuit of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care. We also offer a variety of pathways for those with specific interests in the field.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage of £11.44.
Work Schedule:
Flexible full-time hours, with 12-hour shifts organized on a rotating schedule throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care within the home, ensuring ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents' care needs.
- Assist residents during meal times, ensuring they receive appropriate and nutritious meals.
- Engage in and support all activities within the home to promote individualized care.
- Complete all required training and development programs (statutory, mandatory, and optional).
Required Skills & Experience:
- A genuine passion for caregiving, prioritizing the needs of our residents.
- Previous experience in a care role is highly desirable, along with NVQ/QCF Level 2 Diplomas in Health & Social Care qualifications, though we offer support to achieve necessary certifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
