About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neighbourhood Housing Manager to join our team at Swindon Borough Council. As a key member of our housing team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and ensuring our customers receive exceptional support and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain high-quality housing services, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partner agencies, understanding their needs and addressing their concerns.
  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding customer service, implementing community engagement initiatives to enhance customer involvement.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including residents, community groups, and other council departments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve housing services, addressing issues such as homelessness, anti-social behaviour, and housing quality.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in housing management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of housing laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for community development and customer well-being, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding results.
