Operations Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as an Operations Lead at Long Term Futures Ltd in Northfield, Birmingham. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work with a thriving primary school and contribute to its continued success.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the operational aspects of the school, including financial management, facilities maintenance, ICT infrastructure, recruitment, health and safety, and leadership of non-teaching staff.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the school's finances, including budget preparation, detailed monitoring, grant applications, and provision of financial reports to the Finance Committee and Governing Body.
  • Oversee personnel matters, including recruitment, performance management, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure effective management of school facilities, Health and Safety compliance, and risk management.
  • Lead the office team and non-class-based support staff, including caretaking, cleaning staff, and lunchtime supervisors.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
  • Maintain the school inventory and ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in operations management or a similar leadership role in education. A qualification in finance or school business management (CSBM, DSBM, or equivalent) is essential.

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role in education.
  • A qualification in finance or school business management (CSBM, DSBM, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of school systems such as SIMS, FMS, and Oracle.
  • Expertise in financial management, budget planning, and compliance with education finance regulations.
