About LTF Recruitment:
We are delighted to be working in partnership with a fantastic secondary school in the Northampton area. The successful candidate will provide key support to students with a variety of additional learning needs including ASD, EBD & SEMH.
The Role:
- You will assist teachers in preparing learning materials and running classroom activities designed to meet the individual needs of students.
- You will provide dedicated support to students within a learning Resource setting, helping them to develop essential skills and knowledge.
- You will implement evidence-based behaviour management strategies tailored to the unique requirements of each child, promoting positive change and growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to develop and implement behaviour support plans that foster a nurturing approach to learning.
- You will work closely with the teaching staff to identify areas where students require additional support, and develop strategies to help them overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and make recommendations for future support.
- Work collaboratively with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour policies and procedures that promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Foster a culture of mutual respect and trust within the school community, promoting social, emotional, and academic well-being.
The Ideal Candidate:
- You will have experience supporting students with EHCPs and challenging behaviour, and be able to adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of each individual.
- You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- You will be highly flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as they arise.
- You will have a passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality support to students, enabling them to reach their full potential.
- You will be able to work effectively as part of a team, prioritising tasks and managing your workload to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
