We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust, a specialist SEN school in Colchester.

As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create tailored behaviour management plans that promote positive behaviours and self-confidence in students.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Support students in overcoming behavioural challenges through structured approaches to conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and social skill-building
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to create a positive learning atmosphere where students feel safe and motivated to engage
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen your skills in behavioural support and SEN education

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in behaviour management within an SEN environment, preferably with students who exhibit behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • Calm, adaptable approach to challenging situations, with the ability to maintain a supportive and understanding attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
