Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a qualified Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Colchester, Essex. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to Key Stage 2 children with ADHD, helping them succeed academically and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with ADHD or other SEN, as well as knowledge of sensory needs. You will be responsible for creating a structured and positive learning environment, offering emotional and social support to help students feel confident and supported.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Provide individualized support to KS2 children with ADHD, assisting with personalized learning plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to develop a comprehensive support plan, aligning with the child's needs and goals.
  • Ensure students stay focused and engaged while working at separate workstations, promoting a productive learning environment.
