We have an exciting opportunity for a Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust, a specialist SEN school in Colchester.

As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive environment where students can develop essential social and emotional skills.

**Key Role Accountabilities:**

  • Develop and implement tailored behaviour management plans that promote positive behaviours and self-confidence in students
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a positive learning atmosphere where students feel safe and motivated to engage
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen your skills in behavioural support and SEN education

**Essential Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in behaviour management within an SEN environment, preferably with students who exhibit behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • Calm, adaptable approach to challenging situations, with the ability to maintain a supportive and understanding attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
