Job Title: Old Age Psychiatry Middle Grade Doctor

Medacs is seeking an experienced Old Age Psychiatry Middle Grade Doctor to join our team at Mersey Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to older adults with complex mental health needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in old age psychiatry. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of mental health conditions, including dementia, depression, and psychosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide evidence-based treatments and interventions, including medication management and psychotherapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies.
Requirements
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
