Job Title: Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist

Medacs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist to join our team at Hartley Hospital. As a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality psychiatric services to older patients or those with similar needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist to join our team and contribute to the provision of exceptional care to our patients. As a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex mental health needs. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence and prioritize choice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their mental health needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients, including medication management, therapy, and education.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
