Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing site safety management services to clients in the North of Scotland. This role requires a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly within the civils and construction industry.

About the Role

This position is based in Inverness but offers a hybrid approach, allowing the successful candidate to work remotely as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in covering broader company requirements during holiday cover.

We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Advisor with a passion for the Health and Safety sector and a desire to progress into a management position. The correct candidate is more important than their background.

Key Requirements
  • A full clean driving license and ability to travel outside of the core operating area to Perthshire, Fife, Dundee, and Aberdeen regions with occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience in the civils and construction industry, including qualifications in NEBOSH Certificate as minimum.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001/45001 and other industry verification schemes.
  • Good communication skills with site workers and Management.
  • Core competence in H&S Law within the Civils and Construction Industry, including Construction (Design & Management) Regulations.
  • Familiarity with HSEQ procedures, Risk Assessments, and related communications.
  • Understanding of incident and accident investigation with root cause analysis experience.
