Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Professional to join our team at Roxtec UK & Ireland. As a Technical Sales Professional, you will be responsible for further developing the marine and defense market in the north of England and central belt of Scotland.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial business practices and effective sales techniques, with experience in presenting complex and technical solutions to decision makers, specifying engineers, and multi-million pound project managers.

The ideal candidate will have existing working relationships within owner/operators, engineering, contracting, and design firms within the maritime and defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target marine and defense projects that have influencers (owners/operators, engineers, contractors, or resellers) within the defined region who specialize in the maritime and MOD sectors.
  • Develop business from a cold start point through to standard specification/client-approved lists.
  • Search for new clients who would benefit from our solutions and support to maximize market potential.
  • Maintain our existing client base of owners, operators, designers, and installers.
  • Attend industry events and forums to network for new opportunities.
  • Present Roxtec solutions to specifying engineers via technical presentations, site visits, installation training, promotion with resellers, and other means as appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree and/or equivalent; consideration given to those without a relevant degree if sufficient industry-specific experience can be demonstrated.
  • Professional sales experience, preferably with a successful record presenting complex and technical solutions to decision makers, specifying engineers.
  • Experience in presenting complex and technical solutions to decision makers, specifying engineers, and/or multi-million pound project managers.
  • Existing working relationships within owner/operators, engineering, contracting, and design firms within the maritime and defense sector.
  • Knowledge in our target sector, with experience of civil electrical, controls, automation, and/or mechanical systems for our chosen markets.
