The Adult Community Psychiatry Expert will provide senior clinical leadership to the Mental Health Liaison team (MHLT) and offer specialist input into eating disorders. This role is part of our investment in core 24 provision, focusing on improving the management of patients with eating disorders in the acute hospital setting. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will review complex patients in medical/surgical wards, act as Responsible Clinician for GRH/CGH inpatients detained under the MHA in general hospitals, and attend Mental Health Assessments for general hospital inpatients during normal working hours. Additionally, the Adult Community Psychiatry Expert will lead psychiatric assessment and management of all-age patients with disordered eating admitted to the acute Trust and run a Medically Unexplained Symptoms Clinic once a week. Our medical directorate promotes collaboration between the LNC and Medical Staffing Committee, offering support to Consultants throughout their careers. As an NHS Foundation Trust, we prioritize community care and aim to deliver responsive services to those who need them most. To succeed in this role, candidates must be GMC registered and on the specialist register or eligible within six months, and possess MRCPsych or equivalent qualification. This position comes with a competitive salary of £110,000 - £135,000 per annum, recognizing the expertise and dedication required.
