### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused individual to support the management of diagnostic samples from patients on a cancer pathway in a 12-month fixed-term position.

### Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate services to maximize streamlined diagnostic pathways, improving quality of care and experience for patients and their carers.
* Work across management teams and organizational boundaries, linking closely with the Cancer Centre and contributing to service plans and developments.
* Develop and maintain a database to actively manage and record patient-level detail.
* Collect and record data on behalf of consultants within the team, which can be manipulated to allow the extraction of data for audit and research purposes.
* Collaborate with clinicians to identify, develop, and implement improvements to the patient pathway and overall.
* Collect and record patient information from Trust data recording systems.

### Requirements

* Experience of working in a hospital environment.
* Knowledge of tracking and monitoring patients using information systems.
* Professional attitude to work, diplomatic and calm under pressure.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changes in work circumstances.
* Thoroughness and attention to detail.
* Effective organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills.

### Qualifications

* Minimum of GCSE or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
