Business Support and Financial Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Business Support and Financial Coordinator to join our team at Leeds Bread Co-op. This exciting opportunity has arisen to support the development of our Direct Payments and Personal Assistant Support Hub in Leeds.
As a Business Support and Financial Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of DP's in both Health and Social Care settings for Adults, Children, and Families. You will work directly with service users and potential users of Direct Payments to provide a service that enables people to set up, control, and manage their support needs.
You will adopt a strengths-based, person-centered, and flexible approach that accounts for possible changing or fluctuating needs. You will support individuals to exercise choice and control in a manner that accounts for the individual's circumstances, such as any needs related to a disability or health condition.
Your key responsibilities will include accurate completion of Direct Payment documents and financial systems to ensure the best value is obtained from the Leeds pound and year-on-year efficiencies are achieved. You will engage in LCC/NHS initiatives to increase the numbers of Direct Payments across the city and participate in multi-agency partnership working to develop and actively contribute to targeted initiatives that directly contribute to the delivery of Direct Payments.
You will lead, advise, and support on all DP processes and support required for all funding cohorts, including A&H, C&F, LD, LD CHC, PHB Adults, PHB Children, and Education. You will be a nominated point of contact for social work teams as agreed by the Service Development Manager/Team Leader.
You will also provide a regular duty officer service, refer to appropriate services, and deal with duty cases on a regular basis. You will support individuals through all aspects of the Direct Payments Process, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and all relevant documentation is completed.
Additionally, you will be accountable for financial aspects of a Direct Payment, including ensuring associated documents are completed, accurate costing information, and start dates are inputted into the Client Information system, and suspension of payments is managed in a timely way to ensure the best use of the Leeds pound.
