Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and supportive Disability Support Assistant to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual support programs, including social and domestic guidance, personal hygiene, and community living skills.
  • Support the physical and personal needs of service users.
  • Manage medication according to our Medication Policy.
  • Encourage service users' opinions and suggestions, addressing their personal problems sensitively.

Requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication to include numeracy skills.
  • 1 year caring experience.
  • Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities.
  • A good understanding and knowledge on behaviours that challenge.
