Leonard Cheshire Disability is seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team as Care Assistants, providing person centred care and support to individuals with varying abilities.

We offer competitive salary £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of employee rewards including Wagestream, free Blue Light Card, contributory company pension scheme and great development opportunities through our apprenticeship schemes. If you have good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families, this could be the ideal role for you.

About the Role:

  • Provide person centred care and support to individuals with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, sensory impairments and learning disabilities
  • Assist with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes
  • Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records

Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required
  • Ideal experience in personal care (not essential)
