At SumUp Inc., we are expanding our retail presence across the EU, and we are looking for a skilled Key Account Manager to join our Retail team in London. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in our ambitious retail expansion activities.

You will be responsible for leading both our existing retail partnerships and expansion by identifying, engaging, negotiating, and closing partnerships with strong retail brands. To achieve this goal, you will work closely with our retail team of Key Account Managers and Trade Marketers to get profitable deals in place.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow our distribution network and get SumUp on shelf at key retailers and e-tailers.
  • Manage top retail partners for UK&I within Consumer Electronics, Cash & Carry, Office Supply, and other verticals.
  • Steer commercial plans across the year, coordinating sales agents and driving business growth.
  • Evaluate and improve retail performance through data-driven insights.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, key account management, or retail sales within FMCG, Consumer Electronics, C&C, Office Supplies, or Trade Retail in the UK&I market.
  • Strong negotiation skills, sales acumen, and trustworthiness.
  • Able to plan and execute Joint Business Plans with retailers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, result-oriented, and data-driven.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, full English proficiency, and additional languages a plus.
