Global Airline Sales Leadership Opportunity

Lastminute Group, a leading European travel tech company, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our airline sales efforts. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for negotiating global airline commercial contracts, securing differentiated airline content, and driving revenue growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Air Commercial strategy across all Lastminute Group brands.
  • Negotiate airline commercial agreements, content, and marketing funds to maximize revenue streams.
  • Review and provide feedback on airline contracts, working closely with our legal team to ensure compliance with company governance.
  • Secure differentiated airline content from commercial and non-commercial partners, including scheduled airlines, low-cost carriers, and charter providers.
  • Grow packaging and flight-only market share through strategic partnerships and sales initiatives.
  • Utilize data sources and reporting tools to build a deep understanding of the account portfolio and market trends.
  • Liaise between airlines and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and minimize losses.
  • Manage the administration and financial reporting for a portfolio of accounts, working closely with our finance teams.
  • Provide accurate budgeting, forecasting, and performance data to the wider business.
  • Represent the Air Commercial team in internal meetings, creating presentations and communicating the air commercial strategy to the wider business as needed.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in sales management with airlines, both scheduled, low-cost, or charters within a Tour Operator, Travel Agency, or OTA environment.
  • Good understanding of the Tour Operator market.
  • Significant experience and understanding of travel E-commerce in travel.
  • Significant successes in securing differentiated content from scheduled airlines, low-cost carriers, and charter providers.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand and utilize a wide range of data and information.
  • Fluent English skills, with proficiency in other European languages a bonus.
  • Positive attitude and ability to overcome challenges in a creative way.
  • Thorough and meticulous with strong attention to detail, also tenacity and ability to find creative solutions.
  • Able to work remotely, be self-autonomous, prioritize and manage workflow without ongoing guidance.
