The Head of Global Sales is responsible for leading and managing the global sales team to achieve targeted revenue goals in all allocated market segments. Ensuring that they have set objectives to achieve targeted revenues across each region. Whilst also heading up the agreed market segment for all hotels, to include focusing on maintaining and increasing existing business, as well as developing new business on an annual basis against set targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage global sales team of 5 persons, supporting them in achieving their set objectives within their market and territories
  • Support the team to ensure distribution and promotions are in place to fill hotels to required levels of targeted budgets and support on strategies across each hotel
  • Maintain global preferred agreements with key given industry global accounts to drive incremental business across each of our regions
  • Responsible for managing and nurturing the GHA (Global Hotel Alliance) Sales relationship on behalf of Lore Group
  • Analyse historical and other statistical information (market segmentation, market intelligence reports) to penetrate your given market share and support the team on their individual targeted segments and territories
  • Develop existing client base, increase production and revenues while harnessing key account relations
  • Negotiate, handle and follow up on enquiries, proposals, contracts, within company guidelines and working with the relevant hotels
  • Support regional teams with entertainment, client FAM trips, plan and execute sales trips and have ownership/accountability as the direct sales contact within your market and segment
  • Analyse month-end reports, review and implement action plans to address market share penetration and other marketing initiatives
  • Maintaining and improving our client database (Delphi)
  • Ensure regular training with all Lore Group Hotels sales teams on cross selling and product knowledge is carried out
  • As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and events
  • Plan and execute key sales trips to your given market segment/region and go above and beyond to get the job done. Ensuring ROI is met on all trips
  • Plan and communicate need period action plans and devise with Commercial leads per region with effective promotional campaigns
  • Ensure sales presentations are conducted in a professional manner and reflect the image of the company and market segment /clients to which it is directed
  • To develop and maintain industry supplier relations for Lore Group properties where relevant with airlines, DMC's, and third party groups that may be helpful for current and future development and growth. Lead partnerships with London & Partners and DC Destination team relations.
  • To actively facilitate idea generation and remain an active and visible representative of Lore Group within the UK and International client market as well as playing an active role with the team on the leisure, entertainment and corporate markets
