About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our Substance Use Treatment Service, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement bespoke support plans for clients with dual diagnosis needs
  • Work closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist to ensure comprehensive care packages
  • Collaborate with mental health services to ensure seamless referrals and support
  • Line manage a team of staff, providing clinical supervision and guidance
  • Contribute to audits, MDT reviews, and CPA processes
  • Act as a professional role model, participating in clinical supervision and offering supervision to junior staff
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex needs, including dual diagnosis
  • Strong understanding of recovery models and approaches
  • Ability to assess and manage risks related to mental health difficulties and substance consumption
  • Experience of line managing staff and providing clinical supervision
