Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Turning Point UK. As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality support and care to individuals with dual diagnosis needs in the Wakefield district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement bespoke support and care packages for individuals with dual diagnosis needs.
  • Work closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist to provide comprehensive assessments and formulations.
  • Support recovery workers with assessments and formulations, and complete referrals to relevant mental health services.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to ensure the removal of barriers preventing dual diagnosis clients from accessing mental health services.
  • Attend monthly complex case meetings to review clients' mental health needs with other professionals.
  • Assess and manage risks related to both mental health difficulties and substance consumption.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology or RMN or CQSW/DipSW or Occupational Therapist.
  • Understanding of recovery models/approaches and mental health issues.
  • Ability to understand and manage risks and clients' safeguarding for both adult and young clients.
  • Experience of working in the community, although this is not essential.
  • Driving license and access to a car are strongly desirable.
