Express Recruitment is proud to partner with a local charitable organisation that provides support services to victims of abuse in the UK. Our client is seeking a Trainee Independent Sexual Violence Advisor to join their team, and after a 3-month intensive training programme, you will be given the opportunity to become a fully Qualified ISVA.

The role involves working with vulnerable individuals, completing risk assessments and care plans, liaising with third parties, and providing face-to-face, telephone, and email support. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work with vulnerable people and be willing to process an Enhanced DBS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete risk assessments and care plans for victims
  • Liaise with third parties, including police, housing associations, and mental health support
  • Support survivors through criminal and court proceedings
  • Highlight safeguarding concerns for children and young people
  • Provide support to victims and survivors through various channels

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of current relevant legislations
  • Experience working in a relatable position, ideally within domestic or sexual abuse
  • Passionate and empathetic attitude, with resilience in sensitive situations
  • Great organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels

Working Arrangements:

Full-time, hybrid working arrangement, with a salary of c£28,270 (rising to c£31,232 after successful completion of training).
