Express Recruitment is proud to partner with a local charitable organisation that provides support services to victims of abuse in the UK. Our client is seeking a Trainee Independent Sexual Violence Advisor to join their team, and after a 3-month intensive training programme, you will be given the opportunity to become a fully Qualified ISVA.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to work with vulnerable people in a similar setting and must also be willing to process an Enhanced DBS on their behalf. This is applicable even if you currently possess a DBS, although this will be funded by the client.
Key Responsibilities- Complete risk assessments and care plans for victims
- Liaise with third parties including police, housing associations, and mental health support
- Support survivors who are going through criminal and court proceedings
- Highlight safeguarding concerns for children and young people
- Provide face-to-face, telephone, and email support to victims and survivors
- Knowledge of current relevant legislations
- Experience working within a relatable position, ideally within domestic or sexual abuse
- Passionate and empathetic attitude, able to be resilient in sensitive situations
- Great organisational skills, to manage a varied caseload
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
Hours: Monday – Friday Full Time, Hybrid Working
Salary: c£28,270 (rising to c£31,232 after successful completion of training)
