Management Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team, responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to drive business growth and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce management accounts for multiple entities, meeting strict deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
* Collaborate with the Financial Controller and accounting staff to maintain financial data integrity in Sage.
* Provide project cost management and analysis support to the Managing Director, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
* Assist in the preparation of CIS returns and overseeing retentions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Develop annual budgets and rolling monthly forecasts, providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts for monthly review, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Manage intercompany recharging and balance reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records.
* Prepare year-end statutory accounts with the support of external auditors, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualifications, with commercial construction sector knowledge. Strong technical accounting skills, particularly in management and financial accounting, are essential. Proficiency in MS Excel is also required. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability in presenting complex financial information to senior management, working effectively under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
