About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Youth Support Worker to join our team in Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional support to young people who have been affected by trauma and adversity.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Patience and understanding when dealing with challenging situations.
  3. A caring and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable young people.
  4. Basic IT skills, including writing reports and updating computer records.
  5. Reliability and resilience in managing a caseload of young people.

Salary: £22,500 - £25,000 per annum.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year's UK experience working with Looked After Children of secondary school age.
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Ability to provide references covering a minimum of the last 3 years.
