About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children in Care Service at Doncaster Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry a caseload of children in care, working closely with families and carers to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Conduct statutory visits to children in care, chairing meetings and providing support, advice, and guidance to carers.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve services for children and families.
Requirements
  • Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience of working with children and families in a social care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple cases.
