Child Protection and Welfare Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children in Care Service team at Doncaster Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in care, working closely with families, carers, and other professionals to provide high-quality support and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry a caseload of children in care, conducting statutory visits and chairing meetings to ensure the best interests of the child are met.
- Provide support, advice, and guidance to carers, promoting positive relationships and outcomes for children.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve services for children in care.
Requirements:
- Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children in care and their families, with a strong understanding of child protection and welfare principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the service.
