About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Out of School Club Assistant to join our team at Kings Priory School. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our children, while providing a high-quality provision that meets their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation of our Out of School Club, providing a supportive and engaging environment for children.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and provide positive feedback to parents and carers.
  • Maintain high standards of care and follow policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a consistent and effective provision.

Working Hours and Holidays

The role will include working your normal hours during the following holidays: February, May, and October half-term, the second week of the Easter holidays, and 4 weeks during the summer holidays. You will be required to work at least 2 days a week during these holiday periods, with the opportunity to work more hours to support the department.

Holiday Entitlement

You will be entitled to 7 weeks annual leave per year, including 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter, 3 weeks during the Summer, and 1 week during the October break.

Requirements

  • Relevant childcare qualification and experience working in a classroom or out of school club setting.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with children and provide positive feedback to parents and carers.
  • High standards of care and ability to follow policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding.
