About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an Out of School Club Assistant at Kings Priory School. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant or a Teacher looking for a part-time role that allows them to work with children in a flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation of our Out of School Club, ensuring the safety and well-being of children aged 4-11 years old.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and provide positive feedback to parents and carers.
  • Deliver high-quality care and support, following policies and procedures related to safeguarding.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a consistent and effective provision.

Working Hours and Holidays

The successful candidate will be required to work during the opening times of the holiday club, which are 8:00am - 6:00pm. They will also be required to work their normal hours during the following holidays:

  • February, May, and October half-term
  • Second week of the Easter holidays
  • Four weeks during the summer holidays

Hours worked during the holidays will be paid as additional overtime on top of the annual salary. The role will include 7 weeks of annual leave per year, as detailed below:

  • Two weeks at Christmas
  • One week at Easter
  • Three weeks during the summer
  • One week during the October break

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant childcare qualification and have experience working in a classroom or an out of school club setting. They will be dynamic, energetic, and well-organized, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and provide positive feedback to parents and carers.
