About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an Out of School Club Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children in a part-time environment, providing support and care during out of school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation of our Out of School Club, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and provide positive feedback to parents and carers.
  • Maintain high standards of care and follow policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver a high-quality provision.

Working Hours

The successful candidate will be required to work during the opening times of the holiday club, which are 8:00am - 6:00pm. This will include working at least 2 days a week during holiday periods, with the option to work more hours to support the department.

Holiday Entitlement

The role includes 7 weeks annual leave per year, which will be taken during the Christmas, Easter, Summer, and October breaks. This is in addition to days not worked during holiday clubs.

Requirements

  • Relevant childcare qualification and experience working in a classroom or out of school club setting.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with children and provide positive feedback to parents and carers.
  • High standards of care and ability to follow policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding.
