Lead Economist - Energy Forecasting

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Economist to join our team. As a key member of our energy forecasting team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality energy forecasts covering oil, gas, coal, and electricity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain our cross-country energy demand and supply models, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Produce price forecasts and form a long-run view of the energy sector under the green transition.
  • Collaborate closely with economists across the macro, industry, and climate teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the energy market.
  • Communicate our views on the oil and gas outlook to clients and prospects through reports, events, webinars, and other channels.
  • Oversee the production of thematic research on energy commodities and the interaction of energy and climate economics.
  • Write quick reaction insights to news developments and their impact on our outlook.
