Job Title: Senior/Principal Economist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Economist to join our team at The Economist. As a key member of our Economic Research and Development Impact Department, you will play a critical role in shaping our research agenda and contributing to the development of evidence-based policies.

About the Role

The Senior/Principal Economist will be responsible for leading research projects, analyzing complex economic data, and developing policy recommendations. You will work closely with our team of economists, researchers, and policymakers to identify key issues and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research projects on economic development, poverty reduction, and sustainable development
  • Analyze complex economic data and develop policy recommendations
  • Collaborate with our team to identify key issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and programs
  • Communicate research findings and policy recommendations to stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • PhD in Economics or a related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
