Health Inequalities Specialist

Devon Training Hub is seeking a highly motivated General Practitioner to join our team as a Health Inequalities Fellow. This is a unique opportunity to work with us to reduce health inequalities in Devon and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will participate in an educational program, including peer-learning groups and collaborating with subject matter experts to explore approaches to reducing health inequalities. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a National Health Inequalities Education Program, joining other fellows around the country.
Key Responsibilities- Upskill to meet patient needs in areas of high deprivation/serving diverse communities
- Undertake project work on reducing health inequalities at a PCN level to align with ICB priorities for health inequalities
- Collaborate with systems partners to deliver on One Devon priorities to reduce Health Inequalities
- General practitioner with MRCGP
- Understanding of Primary Care in England and its interface with secondary care
- Proven experience of regularly working as a clinician in general practice, after completion of vocational training, with current full registration with the GMC
- Current clinical commitment of not less than 3 sessions a week
We offer a competitive salary based on the standard NHS WTE fellowship scale, with an additional £1000 educational/project allowance. We also provide opportunities for professional development and support to help you achieve your goals.
