About the Role

Devon Training Hub is seeking a skilled General Practitioner to fill the Health Inequalities Fellow position. The selected candidate will be responsible for addressing health inequalities in local communities through a combination of project work, peer-learning groups, and collaboration with subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Upskill to meet patient needs in areas of high deprivation and diverse communities
  2. Undertake project work on reducing health inequalities at a Primary Care Network level to align with Integrated Care Board priorities
  3. Collaborate with systems partners to deliver on One Devon priorities to reduce Health Inequalities

Requirements

  1. General practitioner with MRCGP qualification
  2. Understanding of Primary Care in England and its interface with secondary care
  3. Current clinical commitment of not less than 3 sessions a week

What We Offer

The successful candidate will participate in an educational program, including peer-learning groups and collaborating with subject matter experts. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a National Health Inequalities Education Program, joining other fellows around the country. The fellowship includes a pay based on standard NHS WTE fellowship scale, £8500 per session, with an additional £1000 educational/project allowance.
