Health Inequalities Specialist

About the Role
Devon Training Hub is seeking a skilled General Practitioner to fill the Health Inequalities Fellow position. The selected candidate will be responsible for addressing health inequalities in local communities through a combination of project work, peer-learning groups, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Upskill to meet patient needs in areas of high deprivation and diverse communities
- Undertake project work on reducing health inequalities at a Primary Care Network level to align with Integrated Care Board priorities
- Collaborate with systems partners to deliver on One Devon priorities to reduce Health Inequalities
Requirements
- General practitioner with MRCGP qualification
- Understanding of Primary Care in England and its interface with secondary care
- Current clinical commitment of not less than 3 sessions a week
What We Offer
The successful candidate will participate in an educational program, including peer-learning groups and collaborating with subject matter experts. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a National Health Inequalities Education Program, joining other fellows around the country. The fellowship includes a pay based on standard NHS WTE fellowship scale, £8500 per session, with an additional £1000 educational/project allowance.
