Job Summary

We are seeking experienced cleaning operatives to provide exceptional services at the University of Reading.

About the Role
  • You will have a background in the cleaning industry, with knowledge of modern techniques and Health and Safety procedures.
  • A strong command of English is essential, as you will be working in a customer-focused environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and students.
  • You will be flexible, willing to work on various tasks, use your initiative, and prioritize your workload.
  • The successful candidate will be a team player, able to adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to delivering high-quality services.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position with early morning starts. You will work 52 weeks per year, with regular breaks throughout the day.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold relevant experience working within the cleaning industry.
  • Have a solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and their application in the cleaning sector.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities.
