Job Summary:
University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join their Disability and Welfare Team. The successful candidate will provide effective interventions for students with welfare issues, ensuring they are safe and supported throughout their studies.

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in Education and Safeguarding, with the potential to make a real difference to the UCEM student experience. As a Student Support Specialist, you will provide high-quality information, advice, and guidance on various student issues. You will also support the promotion of pastoral care across UCEM programs, ensure appropriate signposting of students to utilize additional specialist services, and assist with the delivery of UCEM's Mental Health Strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for UCEM's SilverCloud provision and be a point of contact for students on the supported pathway
• Support the promotion of pastoral care across UCEM programs (ensuring appropriate signposting of students to utilize additional student specialist services where appropriate)
• Assist with the delivery of UCEM's Mental Health Strategy

Requirements:
• GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C or 4 or above
• Experience of working in Safeguarding in FE/HE
• Digital skills: Familiarity with MS Office, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage difficult situations sensitively and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of current legislation relating to Safeguarding and Prevent
