Role Overview

Specialist Mentors play a vital role in helping students with Autism navigate the challenges of Higher Education. By providing tailored support, you will empower these individuals to succeed academically and personally. Your expertise will enable them to develop strategies for managing anxiety, improving concentration, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Salary Details

The hourly rate of £30.00 reflects the high level of expertise required for this role. As a Specialist Mentor, you will be compensated fairly for your skills and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one support to students with Autism, addressing issues related to anxiety, concentration, time management, and workload prioritization. Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, fostering trust and confidence in your abilities. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support delivery and effective communication. Demonstrate expertise in adult autism/autism in Higher Education, applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust support plans accordingly.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (2:1 or above) and comprehensive training in adult autism/autism in Higher Education are mandatory. You must also possess United Kingdom Work authorisation. Experience in supporting individuals with Autism is highly desirable, but not essential.
