Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Harris Academy Wimbledon. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic success and personal development of our students, while also enjoying opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with experienced educators.
Key Responsibilities- Support students in small groups or one-to-one, promoting their reading ages through targeted interventions
- Assist in the school library as needed, ensuring resources are well-organized and accessible to students
- Develop positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and addressing individual needs with sensitivity and understanding
- Encourage student interaction and engagement in activities led by teachers
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with children of relevant age
- Knowledge of literacy and reading recovery programs
- Ability to assess progress and performance
- Understanding of the importance of physical and emotional wellbeing
This role comes with a competitive salary of £30,120-£30,552 per annum (inner London), plus benefits including a Performance and Loyalty Bonus, Pension Scheme, Wellbeing Cash Plan, and additional Harris Federation perks.
