Academic Learning Support Specialist

A Learning Support Assistant is required to work with a Year 5 class in an Ofsted good rated Primary School in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will provide individual support to a child who requires additional assistance within lessons and assist the class teacher with behaviour management.
The role involves working 1:1 with the child, as well as supporting the rest of the class on a general basis. This is a full-time position starting in January and continuing until July 2025, with potential for extension into the next academic year. The salary for this role is up to £550 per week.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have experience supporting children within a nursery or school setting. Supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable. You must be confident working 1:1 and in small groups, and able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation.
