The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Video and Audio to lead our editorial video and audio production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the creation and distribution of high-quality, engaging editorial videos and podcasts across our nine brands, including Investors' Chronicle, The Banker, and FT Adviser.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for all video and audio produced by our editorial team
  • Management of a two-strong team of shooters and editors, as well as a network of freelancers
  • Management of the freelance budget and production schedule
  • Delivery of agreed levels of output, including video and audio content
  • Working with the group editorial director, group managing editor, and individual editors to evolve the quality and effectiveness of our output
  • Developing the capabilities of our video and audio team in shooting, editing, and journalism
Requirements
  • Skilled videographer, editor, and producer with experience in producing accomplished editorial videos and podcasts
  • Expertise in the latest editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Vimeo
  • Able to work in a variety of settings, from on-location filming to studio work
  • Experience with graphics, live events, and social media distribution
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
