About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Director to join our team at PA EDitorial Ltd. As an Editorial Director, you will be responsible for managing the migration of journals from ScholarOne to a bespoke system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a project to assist a publisher with the migration of journals from ScholarOne to a bespoke system.
  • Collaborate with a team of people and have regular check-ins with the project lead to provide regular opportunities for feedback and to ask questions.
  • Complete pre-alignment assessments on the existing submission system to ensure the workflow is correctly documented for the upcoming migration to the new system.
  • Take forward conversations with external stakeholders (Editors, Editorial Team etc) to help facilitate a smooth migration.
  • Review the criteria for migration, assess any risks, issues or blockers, and keep a tracker up to date.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of using ScholarOne for peer review management.
  • Proven experience in the academic publishing industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
