Editorial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Editorial Director to join our team at Content With Purpose. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the editorial strategy and vision behind our award-winning digital content.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive editorial strategy that aligns with our company's purpose and goals.
- Collaborate with our Series Development Team to research and understand key industries and sectors, identifying opportunities for engaging digital content.
- Build relationships with our member body partners to create meaningful and impactful digital series that support their aims.
- Lead the creation of project briefings, outlining objectives, key themes, and work closely with the Head of Content Marketing to define key messages, formats, and audiences for each series.
- Plan and develop editorial content for each video series, producing treatments and script outlines that align with our brand voice and content strategy.
- Oversee quality control, ensuring all content meets high editorial standards and adheres to best practices for digital content creation.
- Collaborate with the Head of Content Marketing to implement strategies to engage the right audience effectively, monitor and evaluate content performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the Head of Production to lead and inspire a team of project managers, producers, and editors, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
- 10+ years of experience in editorial, content creation, media, or production roles, ideally in B2B industries.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful editorial strategies that drive business results and engage audiences.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders across organizations, confidence to influence upwards and challenge thinking at all levels.
- Creative and strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team of creative professionals.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work across a remote team and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Competitive salary, ranging from £55,000 to £70,000, dependent on experience.
