About the Role

Market Talent is seeking an experienced Private Banker to join our high-performing front office Relationship team serving the UHNW Arabic speaking community. As a Private Banking Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing relationships with existing customers, building new relationships with potential clients, marketing the Bank's services and products, and promoting suitable real estate investments in line with the Bank's lending policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management
    • Market the Bank's Private Banking services and products to existing and potential customers in accordance with the marketing strategies and plans agreed upon with the Head of Department.
    • Enhance and develop business relationships between the bank and its High Net Worth and VIP customers to develop existing business or attract new business from them that would increase the Bank's portfolio of deposits and loans.
  • Business Development
    • Explore new commercial and residential investment opportunities in the UK real estate market introduced to the bank, to be offered to customers.
    • Preparing and submitting adequate credit applications related to residential or commercial property purchases for approval at the appropriate sanctioning level and managing their implementation in accordance with the bank's Credit Policy, for customers interested in borrowing from the bank.
  • Customer Service
    • Supervise post-sanction facility implementation process to include, if required, obtaining relevant documentation, due diligence, account opening and facility draw-down procedures.
    • Follow up with approved solicitors and surveyors on matters related to customer transactions requested through the Bank.
    • Periodically or as deemed necessary, communicate to customers all pertinent information on the status of their funds, market conditions, trends and opportunities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Preserve customers' confidentiality at all times, paying particular attention to the security of documentation and communications.
    • Adhere to instructions for safeguarding information and not disclosing any information about customers to a third party without the customer's written approval, or otherwise in compliance with legal/statutory requirements.
    • Ensure that individual customer records are maintained up to date at all times and customer files are reviewed annually in accordance with the Bank's KYC requirements and to ensure compliance with Money Laundering regulations at all times.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare regular and special reports to departmental management in the required format, and in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Follow up with approved solicitors and surveyors on matters related to customer transactions requested through the Bank.
    Requirements
    • At least 5 years of experience in either a Relationship Management or PB support role within Private Banking / Wealth.
    • Must speak Arabic at native level.
    • Must be open to 5 days in the office (based in the West End, Mayfair, London).
    • Must be a degree holder.
