Estimated Salary: £114,349 - £136,449 (base + equity)About the Role

As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional pillar that includes frontend engineers, designers, UX writers, backend engineers, data analysts, and others. Your primary responsibility will be to develop features that improve our users' financial health using React Native.

  • You will collaborate with senior peers to provide technical insight into upcoming work and lead the delivery of projects.
  • Mentor colleagues to help them grow as engineers and actively support their development.
  • Work on our React Native application, building out amazing experiences for our users that bring financial health to life in the unique Cleo tone of voice.
  • Use AB tests, feature flags, and other tools to iterate quickly and use data to dig into user journeys, detecting problems and helping to optimize the Cleo experience.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5+ years of industry experience using React or React Native. You should also be passionate about improving the financial health of our users and be committed to delivering working software to our users.

Some examples of product feature work our engineers have taken part in over the last year include:

  • Building a secured credit card from scratch to help our users improve their credit scores without changing their habits.
  • Launching our new budget rewind feature to help users understand their pay-cycle and provide them with better analysis of how they got on with their budget.
  • Adding discount plans and tiering options to our subscriptions so we can experiment with the best pricing for different types of users.
