Unite the Union is seeking a dedicated Union Health Advocate to join its team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the health sector and its challenges, with experience of working with trade unions and their members.

The post-holder will work closely with the national officer and other stakeholders to deliver the union's health sector strategy. They will also provide professional support and advice to Unite Regional Officers, prioritising work to ensure every opportunity is taken to organise and recruit new members and workplace representatives.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • General: Prepare business plans for use of financial resources and ensure prudence on any expenditure working with National Officer, procurement department and Finance department.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £62,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This is a permanent contract with full-time hours of 34 per week (jobshare considered). The working pattern is Monday to Friday.
