Health Sector Strategist

The Unite the Union is seeking a Health Sector Strategist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the union's health sector strategy as identified by the national officer and informed by the union's industrial and professional health sector policies.

The post-holder will work autonomously and with minimal supervision, using their professional knowledge and skills to meet the union's health sector objectives. They will liaise and work with the union's membership structures, reporting outcomes from professional work streams.

The Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Industrial Officer Support: Provide professional support and advice to Unite Regional Officers on a wide range of issues pertaining to individual members or groups across the Health Sector.
  • Organising and Recruitment: Prioritise work to ensure every opportunity is taken to organise and recruit new members and workplace representatives with a focus on organising using professional issues.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £61,848 per annum, plus a London Allowance of £4,979 per annum (if applicable). This is a permanent contract with full-time hours of 34 per week (jobshare considered). The working pattern is Monday to Friday.
