Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire & Explosion Safety Engineer to lead our risk assessments and compliance activities in submarine manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will have experience in explosion safety engineering, DSEAR risk assessment production, and Hazardous Area Classification.

The ideal candidate will be able to implement business processes to achieve strategic objectives and possess a passion for safety. They will also be open to developing new skills and undertaking further training in explosion risk management.

This role is responsible for coordinating team members' work programs, mentoring engineers, and monitoring key performance indicators. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain process documentation and management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading risk assessments and compliance activities in submarine manufacturing facilities
  • Implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectives
  • Mentoring and developing engineers within the team
  • Monitoring and reporting against key performance indicators
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation and management strategies

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
